ARLTA CE SEMINAR, MARCH 13, 2010 - LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
Ermadean Towery and Kathy Barnett, licensed title agents at Ozark Title Services, Inc., attended the continuing education seminar at the University of Arkansas School of Law in Little Rock on March 13, 2010. The seminar fulfilled the annual continuing education requirement for licensed title agents in Arkansas. Ermadean has more than 35 years experience and Kathy has approximately 25 years experience in title examination and they give Ozark Title Services more experience in the title department than any other title companies in our operating area.

RESPA FOR SETTLEMENT AGENTS, NOVEMBER 13, 2009 - LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
Leon Nicholson, president and in-house legal counsel of Ozark Title Services, Inc., attended the RESPA for Settlement Agents seminar sponsored by the Arkansas Land Title Association and held at the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law on Friday, November 13, 2009. The seminar covered the RESPA changes that take effect on January 1, 2010. All mortgage lenders and title companies must be RESPA ready not later than January 1, 2010. As in-house legal counsel for Ozark Title, Nicholson is in the process of educating and training the personnel at both Ozark Title offices in the new regulations and procedures of RESPA (Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act).

Leon Nicholson, president and in-house legal counsel of Ozark Title Services, Inc., and the licensed title agents of Ozark Title's offices, Ermadean Towery and Kathy Barnett, attended the 2009 ARLTA continuing education seminar at the University of Arkansas School of Law on Saturday, March 21, 2009. The seminar program included segments on ethics, liens, commercial transactions and foreclosure.

48th ANNUAL NATURAL RESOURCES LAW INSTITUTE, FEBRUARY 26-27, 2009 - HOT SPRINGS, ARKANSAS
Leon Nicholson, president and in-house legal counsel of Ozark Title Services, Inc., attended the 48th annual Natural Resources Law Institute seminar held on February 26 -27, 2009 at the Embassy Suites in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The Natural Resources seminar covered topics on case law, legislative and regulatory updates, Arkansas oil and gas leasing, issues in the Fayetteville Shale, probate and heirship issues and ethics in oil & gas. The seminar was attended by both attorneys and professional landmen. Sponsors included the Natural Resources section of the Arkansas Bar Association and many oil & gas companies operating in the State of Arkansas.
